Week 2 Recap
During the second week of committee hearings, SB 1010 which makes school board elections partisan, failed by a vote of 4-4. HB 2439 and HB 2495 both passed on party lines, which pose issues for local control and administrative burdens.

2022 Advocacy Day
February 22, 9am to 3pm
Please join us on February 22 for the first Advocacy Day since 2020! The program will be held in the Historic Senate chamber in the Capitol. Members will connect with each other and staff to discuss the biggest issues facing school districts this year, learn tips on how to be a more effective advocate for your community and then have the option to attend an Education Committee Hearing.
The program will last from 9am to noon, a break will be provided for lunch and then members are free to join us in watching floor and committee or meet with their legislators in the afternoon.
