Idle Hands and All That
The Legislature continued to parcel out work today before adjourning for the week. With budget talks progressing slowly, if at all, leadership has kept calendars light to give members some work to do during the week. Even so, each of the last two weeks has seen the Legislature adjourn on Wednesday until the following Monday, effectivley shortening the Legislative week by a day. Today the Senate considered one COW calendar, but lacked enough Republican votes to pass any bills.
