Wishing You and Your Loved Ones a Happy Thanksgiving 2023
As we move toward the end of 2023, we here at ASBA Government Relations want to extend our gratitude to you, our valued advocates, for your unwavering commitment to public education in 2023. You all know the challenges that face our students and the school districts who serve them, and your efforts do make a difference. As professionals dedicated to advancing the cause of a quality, tuition-free public education for all, we appreciate your willingness to take up the cause with us. Current and future generations of Arizona students will benefit from your work.
The Legislature will be back in session soon enough. We have financial reports and other nerdy things to share with you. But hey, all that can wait until Monday. And we hope your work can, too.
We sincerely hope that you are all able to take time to celebrate the holiday with your families, friends, and loved ones in the ways most meaningful to you. Whatever way you eat your cranberry sauce, that’s fine by us as long as you enjoy it.
Sincerely,
The ASBA Government Relations Team
P.S. One government nerd thing to share with you—did you know that even though Thanksgiving is a federal holiday by law, U.S. presidents typically issue an annual Thanksgiving proclamation? You can read President Biden’s 2023 proclamation here if you would like.
